- ➤ The 17th annual Murrieta Field of Honor will be held at Town Square Park from Nov. 8-15 with 2,025 American flags honoring military personnel, law enforcement, and first responders. Opening ceremonies will take place on Nov. 9 at 10 a.m.—featuring special sections for Medal of Honor recipients, local heroes, a 9/11 memorial, and a patriotic chalk walk—providing a chance for residents to honor local service. - ➤ Historian Jim Richerson will present a PowerPoint titled 'Hands On Ancient Carthage: Connections' at the Little Temecula History Museum on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m.—he will explain how exhibitions at Tunisia's National Museum of Carthage were developed from UNESCO archaeological finds. - ➤ The CIF Southern Section released playoff pairings for 60 Inland football teams, with several local teams competing in multiple divisions. Murrieta Valley earned the No. 1 seed in Division 2 and will host Corona del Mar on Friday at 7 p.m.—other local squads have key match-ups set through late November. Valley News
