Good morning, Murrieta.
🏛️ Government
Rancho California Water District received a $500,000 award from Riverside County 3rd District Supervisor Chuck Washington to install helicopter dip tanks near De Luz and La Cresta to boost wildfire response in rural areas.
The funding will improve firefighting capability and reduce turnaround times in the greater Temecula-Murrieta region—local officials expect this upgrade to enhance public safety.
District 5 County Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez reminded residents that October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and noted that many have suffered abuse — one in four women and one in nine men — while announcing a $10,000 allocation to the Regional Access Project Foundation to aid survivors.
