- ➤ The City of Murrieta is partnering with MilVet to launch the Murrieta MilVet Box initiative from October 12 through November 12 to collect donated items for deployed military service members and their families while local businesses and organizations can host decorated collection boxes—showing their community spirit. - ➤ The Riverside County Board of Supervisors awarded Coffman Specialties the contract to rehabilitate the north and middle apron areas at French Valley Airport on September 9, approving a bid of $6,585,000 and a total project budget of $7,737,200—additional engineering support will be provided by C&S Engineers and Mead & Hunt. - ➤ Riverside County’s Emergency Management Department launched the 911 Nurse Navigation program to help dispatchers guide 911 callers with non-life-threatening issues to the proper care—CALFIRE is the first agency to use the system, which began on September 17. The initiative, developed with American Medical Response and Global Medical Response, aims to lower healthcare costs and ease the strain on emergency services. Valley News
