Best Drilling and Pump Inc. was awarded a $474,000 contract by the Rancho California Water District board to rehabilitate Well No. 139 at the General Kearny Reservoir site—about 1,500 feet north of Rancho California Road.
The board voted six to zero on September 11 after the well’s output dropped from 300 to just over 100 gallons per minute and debris was found.
