  • Advocates for Faith and Freedom in Murrieta are urging California school districts that support girls' sports to sign an amicus brief for two U.S. Supreme Court cases on TitleIX sports; the brief is due Sept. 18 and several boards, including those in Temecula Valley and Murrieta Valley, have agreed or will vote soon—school officials are holding meetings to decide on fairness in athletics.  Valley News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Eastern Municipal Water District is addressing a shortage of water workers by offering part-time jobs to 18-to-24-year-olds through its Youth Ecology Corps—helping young people learn new skills in the water industry. The program, run with the Riverside County Workforce Investment Board, has trained hundreds over more than a decade.  Valley News
