- ➤ A local charity, Bobby's Crew, will host its first golf tournament on Oct. 5th to honor Bobby Hess, Jr. and raise funds for community programs at The Golf Club at Rancho California in Murrieta. Registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and local businesses may sponsor parts of the event—proceeds will fund youth mental health, homeless shelters and food assistance. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ In August, Murrieta’s Economic Development Department attended state conferences for industry insights, met with local business owners at several events, and broke ground on the Hot Springs Road Widening Project — City leaders also traveled to Sacramento to advocate for the town’s future. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ District 5 County Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez urged residents during National Suicide Prevention Month to educate themselves about mental health and offer support to those in need (suicide is a leading cause of death for locals under 40 in Riverside County) by listening and encouraging open communication (fostering direct and non-judgmental conversations).
